This will be an intimate online event, on what would have been P Yusuf McCormack's birthday. We will discuss the book and Yusuf's legacy and share some reading of the poetry. Paul Yusuf McCormack was known as a giant of a man in the care experienced community. He grew up in ‘care’ homes of the 1960s and 70s, subjected to physical, sexual and emotional abuse which had a far-reaching lasting effect on his adult life. Yusuf channelled his outpouring of emotion into words and paintings, a collection of these works is encapsulated in this book.

Professor Hatton will be talking about the impact of Covid-19 on people with learning disabilities.
