The government is consulting on reforming the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA), creating a so-called 'British Bill of Rights', which is code for removing the bits of the HRA that prevent governments and ministers from driving through policies or practices that judges have ruled violate people's human rights.

The goals we set ourselves can be self-fulfilling. The level of ambition we set ourselves can define how funders and potential partners see us.

The final episode in an excellent series which challenges the language around empowerment.

This is a great episode for all those who are interested in finding out more about social work and education in the university. In particular, how it is that students are learning about social work in contemporary times.

Research

This is actually an open access book so I wasn't sure where to put it but I think it belongs under research. I've not read it but have flicked through and think there is an enormous amount of learning contained within it.
