Introduction
Happy New Year! Thanks for your patience and attention over the year/years and welcome to new subscribers. In some ways, less ‘news’ this week because it’s just the world that’s had some time off over the festive period, springing back to life, but amid that, there are some key policy announcements. I’m committed to as little editorialising as possible here, but I can’t say I’m overly excited by another opportunity to kick reform of adult social care into touch for a few more years.
I also want to highlight the first link, some fantastic work being done by Anthony Vaughan at Practice Reflections Newsletter which looks at different issues in children’s and adults safeguarding in more depth. It heartens me to see the social work online spaces growing!
